The xD is powered by a 128 horsepower 1.8-liter four cylinder engine. A five-speed manual transmission is standard with a four-speed automatic available as an option. The xD gets good mileage with 27 miles per gallon in the city and 33 on the highway.
Even thought the xD’s base is under $15,000, there are many standard features that aren’t usually found on economy cars. The base xD comes with a nice Pioneer sound system with six-speakers and an iPod dock. Also standard are air conditioning, keyless entry, power locks and windows.
